What are you passionate about in your life–what brings you a sense of purpose?
As a life coach, I know how to help individuals identify their needs and wants, harness their strengths, and pursue fulfilling lives. As a PhD in educational psychology, I know how individuals set goals and make choices that bring them closer to (or farther away from) these goals. As a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I know what it means to work hard and make sacrifices to pursue a passion while maintaining a life balance.
How much and how effectively are you able to pursue that passion? Or, are you looking for something to be passionate about? (So often, we are told about what we should want, but that may not be consistent with what we truly want, which leaves us feeling flat or unfulfilled.) No one else can tell you what makes your heart sing, and no one else can tell you your own ideal balance of activity, relationships, and responsibilities for a fulfilling life. Getting in touch with this balance for ourselves is as important as pursuing our passion in the first place.
Whether we pursue athletics, a high-powered career, improvement in the quality of our relationships, or some combination, we are influenced by our definitions of success, fulfillment, time management, healthy relationships, and lifestyle balance. When these influences are in harmony, we feel productive and fulfilled. But when they are not, we can feel derailed, deflated, or unmotivated. Stuck.
If your life is like most people’s, sometimes just staying on top of your daily responsibilities can be overwhelming, let alone pursuing fulfillment and passion. Add to this the difficulty some of us have in distinguishing between what we want and what we think we should want, and things can get complicated. That’s where I come in. I can help you, individually and in groups, brainstorm, problem solve, plan, and commit to a course of action to get you closer to where you want to be. Work one-on-one with me to develop a game plan for minimizing your frustrations, pursuing your passions, and balancing all aspects of your life. This can take the form of face-to-face or phone conversations, goal-setting and action planning sessions, completion of personality assessments, or some combination.
Individual Consulting for Coaches, Leaders, and Managers:
Want to maximize your ability to deliver effective leadership and support for your athletes, students, staff, and/or colleagues? I can help you develop your communication skills, teaching and leading ability, and interpersonal acumen. I can help you identify and meet the needs of your stakeholders, as well as identify and work toward your own personal and professional goals.
Bring me into your academy, gym, professional group, or informal gathering to discuss individual and group needs and create an atmosphere that promotes individual and group balance, growth, planning, and goal-setting.
Seminars and Workshops:
Attend interactive sessions, both online and face-to-face, covering topics like managing expectations in interpersonal relationships, ordering priorities, managing downtime, positive self-talk, and switching focus within your chosen passion (e.g., from active competitor to coach).
